About Nikolas

Nikolas is an experienced advocate practising in public and administrative law, criminal and quasi-criminal law, and common law. He accepts briefs to appear led and unled in all courts and tribunals, including in trials, appeals, and inquests.

Nikolas has experience working in the commercial, community, and public legal spheres. As such, he understands how to meet the needs of a diverse range of clients. He welcomes briefs to provide written work, including the drafting and settling of pleadings and the provision of advice.

Prior to being called to the Bar, Nikolas held leadership roles at Aboriginal legal rights organisations in Melbourne and Perth, working primarily on civil matters including strategic litigation, intentional torts, and coronial inquests. He began his legal career as a commercial litigator at King & Wood Mallesons before joining the State Solicitor’s Office of Western Australia. In government service, he acted as counsel for public sector clients in administrative, civil, and criminal matters.

Nikolas attended the University of Western Australia and graduated with distinction. He also holds a Master of Laws from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. There, his research focused on Australian and Canadian comparative constitutional law.

Nikolas read with Karen Argiropoulos SC. His senior mentor was His Honour John Kelly SC.
